Absolutely take the time to climb the Cupola if you are able (or take the elevator). The views of the city are beautiful. The Sistine Chapel was great a check off the list. Side note - you are supposed to be quiet in the Chapel, but everyone acts like children at school. Someone in charge yells at everyone to be quiet every so often, and it works for a few minutes, then murmurs begin. The murmurs turn to quiet conversation, and before too long, it's a low roar. C'mon people, just enjoy some history in silence! Anyways, The Roman Guy tour was absolutely worth it in our minds. We needed direction in that giant little country, especially with limited time. Our hostess, Monica, was a delight, and so knowledgeable about the food, history, culture and art of Rome. Our small group, five people, had the pleasure of intimate dining experiences at 6 different establishments that served everything from bruschetta to gelato. Our group spent four hours, at a relaxed pace, eating, drinking and laughing together. This adventure was a tremendous value! We had to be there early - before 745am - but it was worth it. Speeding through the museum (we went back to the missed bits later) meant we got to the Sistine Chapel when it was empty - just a handful of people there. It was lovely spending a good 20 minutes there, just soaking in the atmosphere and the art. After retracing our steps, we took in the other highlights of the Vatican museum before heading (via the now-crowded Sistine Chapel) to St Peter's Basilica … which was stunning. Breath-taking is an understatement. Our guide, Jad was FABULOUS! He is so knowledgeable and funny too. Kept the group informed and entertained, including my sleepy tween. It may not have been apparent during the tour, but she enjoyed herself very much, Jad :) This was my second Roman Guy experience (the first was a tour in Florence) and every experience has been way beyond expectations. I'd book a Roman Guy tour in a heartbeat. Well organised, clear information about where to meet and all those pre-tour nitty gritty details, and QUALITY guides who really know their stuff...more

My husband was on a business trip, so I was happy to be on this tour with two other amazing people. I was nervous to bike around Italy with all the cars and pedestrians and hectic streets but it was so worth it. These electric bikes were incredible and you felt like a kid riding on them. We saw sooo many sights that we could not have reached by foot. And Laura was so knowledgeable and passionate. She took such an interest in each and every one of us and went above and beyond making us feel comfortable. An experience I will never forget!..more
